Well, Punny, what can I say? I never loved Tex (not even hated it), in elementary school I must have read it in abundance, fragmented among various Topolino, Corriere dei piccoli, Devil, Lando, Zora, Jacule, Le ore. Of course, it was already old in the '70s; it had been around since just after the war, after all. The early episodes were a bit "alternative," but they had to endure a pathetic censorship (no women with guns, no references to corrupt sheriffs). In recent years, I've even read the first 400 issues of the Gigante edition (that's what it was called back then), and aside from the episodes with Mefisto and the one against aliens, it always repeats the same cliché. This one with Magnus didn't seem so brilliant to me anyway. I've always preferred Zagor. PS Ken Parker, on the other hand, doesn't seem like a masterpiece to me.
