It's easy to notice a certain bias. While I understand your point of view, you're upset about the lack of emotions conveyed by Bellamy. It's like saying Cobain expressed anger because he felt it, Yorke transmits alienation, Stipe conveys melancholy, and so on. Bellamy, on the other hand, is like an actor, a performer. You don't catch emotions in his music because they are not a direct consequence of his personality, his inner world, or his sufferings. Bellamy creates a little theater, and this is clearly evident. Just listen to the lyrics of the latest single "Starlight," truly trivial, it sounds like Ramazzotti. This does not take away any merit from Muse in their proposal or in the form of their music. Personally, I've seen them live twice on the Absolution Tour, and I won't deny that I had fun and was moved.

I also get the impression that these are aiming for the scepter of Primal Scream. The comparison can only shatter them. If we take them without risking comparisons, they can even be somewhat enjoyable.
