THE REVIEW

A disclaimer is necessary: I adore Luca Carboni, I have always loved that sweet voice full of melancholy, yet also gritty.

After 5 years, Luca releases "Le band si sciolgono," a different album from the previous ones, nine tracks with 80s songs and some references to electronics. You can also listen to an authentic musical gem, such is "Pensieri al tramonto" which boasts an exceptional collaboration with Tiziano Ferro. Naturally, the ballads are at an astonishing level, after all, Luca has always treated his fans very well in this respect. From Luca's ever-vivid artistic vein come two ballads like "Sto pensando", the first single "Malinconia" and "Le band" true gems.
Other collaborations not to be forgotten are those of Gaetano Curreri (leader of Stadio) in "Lampo di vita" and the Latin guitar of Pino Daniele in "La mia isola". The arrangements, only seemingly simple, are rather well-curated.

An album I awaited anxiously and that did not disappoint me in the least. Another masterpiece by Luca Carboni. Now, after the album, I am eagerly waiting for the tour, because the emotions Luca knows how to give live are priceless. In short, an album that proves that the Italian singer-songwriter scene is anything but in crisis. This is an album that might not please only the narrow-minded! Splendid.
