I listened to the samples and I can't tell if they are awesome or a joke. Just to be sure, I'll give them a listen. Anyway, nice review.

Damn it, I've been looking for these everywhere and I can't even find half an EP or demo; I'll have to order this album. The review is good too. X Woodcock: I would have understood your comment if you had written it in a review for a gore-grind band or for Cradle Of Filth, but these guys really deserve it.

I hadn't voted for this CD yet. I'll remedy that right away.

I endorse Judge Woodcock.

"We are at the FIRST DEBUT for this band." It's a case of "let it be clear once and for all that this is the first album."

Smash, if you like the reference groups I mentioned, give it a try, it's really worth it. They haven't invented anything new, it's true, but they have a very personal and striking sound.
Alchemist Organasm
Voto:
Among all the Alchemist albums I've heard, this one is the best for me. Less "death" than Spiritech, more balanced in the structures, more electronic/atmospheric. However, I don't agree on "Single Sided," it's one of the best tracks for me. The rest is OK.

I've probably seen it 5-6 times and it’s always like it’s the first time... Double 5.
Karlheinz Stockhausen Helikopter-Streichquartett

I haven't listened to the album, but frankly, I'm drifting a bit away from this kind of avant-garde. In the end, it's interesting music more for the compositional method, for the insights than for the final result (it was the same thing Frank Zappa said about John Cage, if I'm not mistaken). It's not necessary to seek the different, the "forward," the experimental and the strange at all costs. An album needs to be exciting and engaging even after repeated listens; with this type of work, after one listen, you're already done. Experimentation needs to be done in a certain way, being "ahead" while at the same time knowing how to communicate something to the audience; if you exceed in listening discomfort, few will follow you. Just my personal opinion, of course. Nice review, anyway.
