Well, all this nastiness...
Iron Maiden A Matter Of Life And Death

Discrete record, the Legancy is simply stunning, the best of the bunch alongside the first track and the single.
Edoardo Bennato OK Italia
Voto:
Edoardo Bennatto is one of the most hypocritical men on the planet: I went to listen to him at a free concert and in a total of an hour and a half of performance, he chatted for a total of maybe over half an hour, talking about America this, America that, the music industry, and television, in short, his usual sermons which, if they had at least been diluted in a sufficient amount of music, we could have at least digested them. And then, I find him 1) On TV (i.e., the devil according to him) 2) On MTV (the ultimate symbol of consumption) 3) Singing a piece of SHIT that is more SHIT than anything, forget those dear old "canzonette" he was so proud of (which weren't even "canzonette" most of the time, they always had thought-provoking glimpses). You judge. I used to like him a lot, I liked his vibe, his ultra-thin guitar, his foot drum, his energy. Now he makes me sick.
Red Hot Chili Peppers By The Way

Oh my God, I actually agree with those who say that this is the worst album in their discography: listening to it gives you diabetes, it's so sugary. Stadium Arcadium isn't that bad, although the instinctiveness of their early days has been irretrievably lost. I believe the responsibility for this shift primarily lies with Frusciante, who has always been the main creative engine of the band musically. His entry into the group was crucial for the Peppers to make a qualitative leap with Mother's Milk first and Blood Sugar Sex Magik later. His return led to the creation of another great album, Californication, where the germs of this change were already visible: the guitar was no longer scratchy and dirty like in the good old days, but whiny and pandering. In By the Way, everything becomes glossy to the point of being absurd, especially for a band formed in an essentially punk background. Yet amidst all this musing, I still like them; maybe it's because I'm attached to them, so I can't even give this album a failing grade: also because not all the honey in this album makes you feel sick. "Vernice Queen," for example, is gorgeous, it has all the makings of a classic. The review says little.

Indeed, Leonid, I am already dead inside.

There’s simply nothing wrong with a teenager loving their songs, even if everyone says they suck. It’s music written for teenagers and should be judged as such.

Of course, I don't want to elevate Pezzali too far above the primordial broth, of course!

Well, as a teenager I fed on Max Pezzali, and I believe we must acknowledge a certain ability in expressing adolescent emotions with a similar language. I remind everyone that not all music has to be at the same level; in fact, there’s a need for less sophisticated and artistically valid stuff to truly appreciate what is genuinely good: without the ugly, it’s impossible to recognize the beautiful.
Vasco Rossi Cosa Succede In Città
Voto:
Yes, the review is very well done; on the other hand, I've never been able to stand Vasco Rossi, aside from the 5/6 legendary songs that even the walls know. Lately, he really has a shitty face...

easycure: in the first comment I said this: "And don’t come telling me that they are mere imitators of 70s prog, because there isn’t a great band or a great musician who doesn’t draw from the classical masters. In this case, no one could have played the blues back in the 60s... and hard rock would just be a simple imitation of that music, only sped up and enriched by riffs." Do you understand what I mean?
