Very pleasant album and, as you say, sensual... let's just say it's the perfect music for certain moments... :-). Personally, I also enjoyed the subsequent works, even if they are not as fresh as this one. Perfect review, but I disagree that the album is repetitive; it's the style...

I agree with the overall judgment of the album, except for this: “The Past Recedes” shows us an artist at ease, perfectly serene and immersed in his music." Judging by the lyrics of the song, I don't see a serene and at peace artist; after all, the first words he says are that the past returns and he no longer wants to be involved... and we all know how his past was; in short, it seems to me a very melancholic piece and, as you say, "autumnal," to listen to while the leaves fall. The Real is fantastic, Hope even more so.

You said it perfectly, lately it's just a pile of rhetoric on top of more rhetoric. The music keeps getting worse, so in my opinion, they should retire. I don’t know the album, but I’m voting based on trust.

Yes, the review is very accurate, there's no doubt about it. One question though: so is the end of the vicedenda negative? I mean, is there repression? I've always believed that "we take control" was said by the men... even in other reviews out there, it seems like that's what you read. Who knows, anyway, good job regardless. As for the album, I've always considered it the masterpiece of Rush — and I mentioned that in my review of Moving Pictures — but after listening to this latest one, I must change my mind: in my opinion, the group's masterpiece is Moving Pictures.
