Allen's films lately are all a bit too similar. This one is nice and makes you want to watch it again... However, upon closer inspection, it lacks bite. It doesn't leave a mark, in short.

Sublime review, just like the album. After all, from such a combination, it was hard to expect anything different... Van Morrison is truly an Artist.

In my opinion, it's about time he stopped with these albums... And then people speak poorly of the Stones, but at least they still come up with good ideas (and in decent abundance, in my view).

The usual Allen movie. The usual characters, the usual sketches. And the plot is COPIED from Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky, which is not even hidden that much (the protagonist is reading Crime and Punishment at the beginning of the film). In short, great idea, but please don't scream masterpiece.

Well, technically they were all monsters; very few musicians could technically compete with them back in those years. Densmore was a jazz-trained drummer, Manzarek had a classical background, and Krieger was a flamenco guitarist. Not exactly three average guys.
I don't know this live, but it will undoubtedly be a 5 like all their live performances.
