Ah, even a fetish... just that I wear size 41, not exactly a little foot. But look at what I have to read!

It's true, Ege, you're absolutely right. You know what I did when my "radical chic" friends absolutely wanted to take me to Merli/Tipografia? I dressed up nicely and everything, then sitting at the table, I ordered red beer (and they had bland proseccos) and started insulting everyone, loudly, throwing peanuts around like monkeys. I think I even burped a couple of times. After that, I ditched them and went to finish my beer on the steps of San Matteo church. As you can see, it's all about taking it with a philosophy... and looking for the positive side. Is there scum at Merli? Absolutely, don't go there. Go to the Orient Express, the food truck from P.D., get a gelato from Prato, go to Negra Tomasa. Do those pretentious ones get on your nerves? Fine, don’t hang out with them. But of course, I shouldn’t have to tell you this, the less you mess with girls, the less they mess with you. At least that's how I do it. If I invite you for a beer at Negra, will you join me or bail? That way, I finally understand what the hell you have against my wonderful city.

when we got high on alcohol and weed, the first song that came to mind was "erezione triste," followed by "vitello dai piedi di balsa" by Elio. those were indeed the times.

4 stars for a concert you haven't seen? And if you had seen it, would you have given it the Milky Way? You don't convince me, but 2 for the good will.

@ege: are we showing off? I repeat, I think you're making a big deal out of nothing. The girls who show off are in Lecce just like everywhere else in Italy, and then, shall we talk about prejudices and clichés? Ok, let's do it. If a woman acts precious, it’s not good, because she’s showing off. On the contrary, if she doesn’t, it’s WAY WORSE; she’s a slut and everyone has slept with her. Oh my, what an inappropriate thing. I’ve never been behind this nonsense (since you’re judged anyway, you might as well have fun), but a lot of people do. The closed mentality is typical of many Salentini, and that’s true, but like everything, you just need to know how to turn it to your advantage, and that’s exactly what I’ve done. And then, excuse me (nobody take offense because it’s just an observation), what should the girls from the Sicilian inland say? I know from experience that there the traditions are much more "restrictive" than ours. I repeat, all this is just an observation of evidence based on direct experiences.

A while ago, I had this obsession with a Lebanese singer named Ragheb Alame. It was said that he is considered a living legend in the Arab world. I met him in person (he was as unpleasant as few) and the song I heard was actually not bad, but then the scarcity of available resources made me give up. Fusillo, you reminded me... I might just give it another shot!

One hundred thousand in Melpignano? And where the hell did they put them? These people amaze me more and more every year that passes. Do you remember Mayor Quimby? Sergio Blasi, thanks to the Taranta, is just like him, mayor ad libitum. No one will ever budge him from that chair. Certain people have it so good. Fusillo, thanks for what you say; it's undoubtedly true that fools are everywhere, not just in the south or only in the center or elsewhere. We must always have the good sense to see things with objectivity. That I have met some foolish Salentini, as Ege says, is another story... but I'm definitely not saying they're ALL like that. I would have emigrated much earlier and not at 24 and a half as I actually did. The Taranta has not been commodified, but only valued and exported because it was seen that it was liked. So what should we say about Neapolitan music? Is that commodified too?

@EGE: I am Salentina in my DNA. I am the daughter of a craftsman and a graduate. They have always raised me in freedom and tranquility, striving to empower me in my choices without imposing arbitrary decisions deemed "right." They granted me almost everything I wanted, in exchange for wanting me to graduate in order to seek a better future (and I willingly fulfilled their wish). I have always been able to bring home whoever I wanted (just like my brother), and I have always been able to have a constructive and serene dialogue. Yet, I am from Ugento. Am I a white raven or are you mistaken? Ask yourself before you stand firm in your (certainly well-founded) beliefs. University in Lecce was a wonderful experience that I would relive a million times, for the institution itself that I learned to "use" (without being used) and for all the connections I created.
