The Henry Cow didn't only create avant-garde and various forms of noise. They actually made a "quasi-pop" in the three albums with Dagmar Krause's slapp happy ("Desperate Straights" and "In Praise of Learning"... "Casablanca Moon" is instead a full pop). Between Henry Cow and the solo careers of the various members, there are the three records by Art Bears (Krause-Frith-Cutler), excellent as a soundtrack for a witch hunt (and that's not necessarily a flaw). I don’t know this album. "Gravity" is quite nice. I heard an album with compositions by Frith played by a string quartet (I think it was the Arditti Quartet), but it made me feel like milk was coming out of my knees. I didn’t like his album performed by the modern ensemble either... Okay, end of the statement.
