Very nice review. I was a teenager in the 80s and you reminded me of a lot of things. Forgetting them entirely would be as nice as it is sometimes to remember them. If you had quoted "Indietro Tutta", I would have given you top marks, but a solid 4 is what you’ll take home. I’ve wiped the album and the movie from my memory. Or rather, I pretend I’ve succeeded.

@roby: go ahead, they deserve it; @iside the affection is mutual; @festwca you exaggerated as in the review of Ash Ra Temple (even though, while being a bit presumptuous, I must confess that comments like yours keep up the morale); @Navarf "basket of light" is not dated, it's ancient! @editors thank you for teaching me the art of hyperlinking.

I join the chorus of praise.

First Gabriel, now Rutherford. Hackett, Collins, and Banks are still missing. There's some work for you on Roby... The review is, I would say, exhaustive, which, considering your previous ones, doesn’t surprise me. I only know the album by name. I have another record from Rutherford without his Mechanics, "Acting very strange" I think it's called, which I haven't listened to in a while but don’t have a great memory of. But you’re not the first person I’ve heard speak well of this. I’ll find a way to get it. Bye.

Sorry Claudio, may I ask you a question? I just took a look at your reviewer profile. Out of fifteen reviews you've written, thirteen are for Dire Straits albums (two for The Police). I know it's none of my business and I'm not saying this to offend, but aren't you a bit one-track-minded?

I thought it would be great to sum it up...

For Roby. I had a feeling you were referring to something that goes beyond the text itself. But considering that Peter, especially in the seventies, had a particular talent for storytelling, well, when it comes to writing a review, I thought it would be nice to summarize in a few (or many) words what he was telling. You can see my little summary as a complement to your review. If you’re up for it, of course…

Well, maybe I remember it wrong, but I remember them being pretty ridiculous. And what you call "time's space rock" was just banal pop that found echoes in other equally ridiculous bands. I even remember the name of one of their clones, they were the "Visitors". Wonderful was the parody of the rockets done by Elio at Sanremo '96...

I don't know, I haven't listened to the album and maybe I should keep quiet, but... haven't you exaggerated?

Well, Roby, I can't give you any particular advice, but if what you're asking for is a very basic reworking of the text (which you say you already know), I can oblige: it’s the story of a boy named Bill who falls in love with a girl named Josephine. They get married and have a child. Together, they move to the city. They spend all their money on a place to stay. An apartment on the eleventh floor of a gloomy building on the outskirts. The sweet home of the title.
Of course, things do not go well. The two couldn’t find friends, and little Sam has no place to play. Josephine keeps telling Bill that they need to leave, but time goes by and the situation doesn’t change; in fact, it only gets worse. And one dark day, coming home from work, Bill discovers that Josephine and little Sam have jumped out of the window of their home. Or rather, of their sweet home.
Bill finds himself alone and desperate. He receives the insurance money, which, of course, doesn’t improve his mood. Not knowing what to do with it, he decides to bet it all. He has never won anything in his life, he has already lost his wife and child, he truly wants to lose everything. Well, with that money received following a double tragedy, Bill hits the jackpot at the casino. And with his winnings, what does Bill do? He buys a nice little house in the countryside. In fact, a new sweet home. A place to reflect on the bizarre twists of life…
