I won't comment on the review because others have already done so, and I don't want to pile on. However, the album's average rating is too low. I'll raise it a bit...

Yes Saltuario, I understood you were referring to the DVD, but when I read that its release had made up for the loss of the concert that the Eelst and Bisio held in "your area," my mind made the connection "your area"-Mantova, without considering that the Eelst and Bisio actually went on a whole tour this summer, not just one concert. Bear with me... Anyway, I bought the DVD today and just watched it: beautiful, one of the best concerts among all those I've seen (and I've seen quite a few) from the charming little band from Milan. I take this opportunity to point out to those who may not know that at the address Mp3 e filmati di Elio e le Storie Tese by MaRoK among many gems, you can download a concert from Elio in '92, filmed back then by Videomusic (not MTV...). Bye.

Veh, a fellow citizen of mine (or almost?) on debaser. :) Did you see last summer's concert? It was spectacular, Elio e le storie tese accompanied by the orchestra of the Campiani conservatory... But it could have been better. The sound was not great, due to a lousy amplification system... "Pignorava" was part of the show "Tersa repubblica" with Bisio-Feyez-Tanica. In that song, poor Feyez did a splendid imitation of Pino Daniele. Bye.

Fidia, I trust you blindly. :) But I assure you that on the "Angel Dust" CD, just released, "Easy" wasn't there.

It could be Fidia, but Chabrol is also right. I remember that at the time I heard "Angel Dust" on CD and "easy" wasn't there. It had only been released as a single. They added it later, in the reissues. On the other hand, I had the original cassette of "The Real Thing" that also contained "The Edge of the World" and "War Pigs," while a friend of mine had the vinyl and was cursing because those two tracks weren't there. Mysteries of the music industry...

Hi Odra. It's been a while since we last spoke... I read this beautiful review some time ago, but before commenting on it, I wanted to listen to this extraordinary album... Take care. :-)

Dante, in Frank's autobiography, there's the whole project of the show... What are you waiting for to read it? It's an engaging read. :)

Beautiful, but I prefer your nostalgic-Salento reviews. ;-)
