I raise the average of this great record...
George Lucas Star Wars

Poletti, a question: does Lucas use special effects "sparingly" or is it a "massive use"?:-) I didn’t quite understand the whole "blackmail" thing... Star Wars is a good science fiction movie and that's enough.

Um... one thing for the editors as well: the links are not working, could you please take a look? And while you're at it, at the end of the sixth paragraph, where I say: "even if just for a moment?" could you remove the question mark? Thank you.

I think you're quite the easy-going one, dear Pippo. :-) ā€œSpite Marriageā€ already makes me wrinkle my nose. Not so much because of Buster's performance, but more due to the story and certain directorial choices. Buster, as I briefly mentioned in my review of ā€œThe General,ā€ was a filmmaker in every sense, and it saddens me to see him ā€œlimit himselfā€ to acting. But when you say he shouldn’t have been aware of the footage, you make a mistake. Buster was always concerned with the story he had to tell, even when he had to do it simply as an actor. The documentary I mentioned in this review (ā€œBuster Keaton Rides Againā€) was filmed on the set of ā€œThe Railroader,ā€ and you can see how Buster would voice his opinions to the director regarding both the plot and the gags. He also tried with Beckett, but Beckett had a clear vision of his own. So, a great performer, but not just that...
