I'm sorry Happypippo, you know I adore you, but in that dialogue Allen says something like: "God is here just to make you feel guilty." and Farrow: "Do you believe in God?" "No, but I feel guilty about it." ;)

They make me die of laughter. The guy in the trailer who was coming down the stairs throwing roses and petals had me in stitches. Or was it the trailer for "Totò che visse due volte"? Who knows... @Punisher: try "il ritorno di cagliostro". That's a "real" film. Not that the others aren't, mind you... Let's just say it's a traditional film... If a film by Ciprì and Maresco can be considered traditional... Anyway, Robert Englund is definitely in there...

Well Uxo, first of all, calm down. I can already see that you've changed your mind about the caricatures. I take delight in that. Then you say that Allen has one of his artists beaten up. Wrong: Barnie becomes Danny Rose's artist only after he gets beaten up. He was so bad that even Danny didn't want him. You say that Mia Farrow goes to Danny Rose for an occasion (Thanksgiving) to thank him. Instead, she goes there to apologize. It was she who convinced Lou Canova to leave Danny and team up with a more powerful promoter. Danny ignores her at first, then chases after her, and they live happily ever after (maybe...). All of this aligns perfectly with Allen's character who loves his fellow man and is willing to forgive. He is less so with Farrow's character, but sometimes characters change their opinions, ways of thinking, and acting. Imagine how boring it would be if it weren't so? You know what the gaps are in Tina's character, but you don't say. As for the screenplay being written in three days at Mia Farrow's request, that doesn't concern me too much. My favorite filmmaker, Buster Keaton, created a series of masterpieces starting from a rough outline of a script, the basic idea of which usually came to him when he was in the bathroom or fishing. Everything else he improvised on set. The plot of Broadway Danny Rose seems to work for me. You claim there are inconsistencies, but not where, when, or why. Anyway, yes, let's leave Morandini and Mereghetti out of the discussion. Bye.

Seen today. The cutest pair of runaways I've seen in cinema in recent years. I agree with everything that has been said in the reviews and comments except for one thing: you say the ball never gets going, Stoopid. The ball does sometimes get going and even causes some damage. :) Anyway, thanks for the tip.

I quote Alter Ego, and I add that this is the only film in which Allen almost managed to move me. The quirky artists of Danny Rose are unforgettable characters, not at all failed caricatures.

@happypippo: Thank you, from today I have one more reason to hate A.B. @Bjork: did you like "la leggenda…"? Okay, no problem, I still love you. :) Best wishes to you too.

@Happypippo: Why did Carver's wife and Baricco argue?
Voto:
@Saputello: Here, Luttazzi is a great writer.:-) Can I tell you another little something? When Baricco came to the Ariston Theater in MN for the festival to do "Totem," at a certain point, no one knows how or why, a spotlight fell from the ceiling and crashed just a meter away from Alessandro. Shock in the room: "OH MY GOD," "DID HE GET HURT?", "QUICK, CALL THE FIREMEN!!" and I was like "HOLY COW!! HE MISSED HIM BY A METER." :-) @Grasshopper: I return the Easter wishes (even though you'll read them in ten days) and extend them to all the debasers.

I think "Questa storia" is the only book by our national Alessandro that I haven't read. I've read all the others. I will read it. The topic, you'll find it strange, but it fascinates me. :)

It's true, I love anecdotes. There's nothing better. :)
