Hey Punny, you won’t be one of those “static and constipated critics” that Hal talks about, will you? :-)

In fact, I found Hildesheimer's book in an old issue of Amadeus. I really love the biographical genre, and when the scholar's passion is combined with a strong sense of irony, that's a bonus. Wolfgang Hildesheimer had both of these qualities. Qualities that are necessary, among other things, to deeply understand such a genius, eccentric, and elusive character. The portraits of the people orbiting around Mozart are also beautiful... As for the Mullova, give it a try, you won't regret it. Bye, Hal. :-)

I have the interpretations of Maisky. I rate those and I promise myself to listen to the suites played by Rostropovich...

Hey Happy, I’m listening to Bugsy Siegel. Not bad... Curiosity: What have you covered from Black Sabbath?

@Tiny Banks: :-) @Saputello: Where there is a modern author, there is also the "ensemble modern"... I have "studies," the album by EM featuring the music of Conlon Nancarrow. You can order it from your trusted retailer or directly from their site (http://www.ensemble-modern.com/english/index.htm). But before you buy, download something. There are quite a few files on the torrent... Take a look at EM's catalog: there are two albums with music by Charles Ives... And while you're at it, check out Kyle Gann's site (http://www.kylegann.com/). You’ll find a biography of Conlon and various pieces of information. There are also many mp3s of his (Gann's) music. He is a student of Nancarrow and he’s good too. Bye.

Okay poet, I didn't get it. It's just that I do too many drugs. :) Goodnight.
