Sorry Grass, it's probably an unnecessary clarification but if you copy and paste the link I sent you, you need to remove the spaces that form automatically. Again, hi. :)

Sorry Grass, are you telling me you've never heard of Pentangle? Well, when you have a moment, check this out: It’s a clip taken from a concert video from 1969 or thereabouts at the BBC. The Pentangles sing their version of "House Carpenter." On the same page, you'll find links to other clips from the same concert: "Light Flight," "Train Song," and "Hunting Song." All these songs are on "Basket of Light," an album I wrote a little something about here on Deb. All the Pentangle CDs, especially the early ones, which are the best, can be easily found for around €9-10. If you feel like buying something, I recommend starting with their second album ("Sweet Child"). It’s a double CD recorded partly live and partly in the studio, at the price of a single. Bye! :)

I appreciate you a lot too, and look, I don't want to defend those who manage this site. I like this site, and that's why I keep visiting it. Over time, I've figured out who the reviewers are whose taste I can trust, and I read them even if their writings never end up in the editor's choice. Similarly, I don't read many reviews that do end up in the editor's choice... And I don't think I'm the only one who behaves this way... Furthermore, I receive the newsletter every day, which informs me about all the reviews published on the site daily. Even if I arrive late, I still read the ones that interest me... By the way, tomorrow I will receive "le provenienze dell'amore"... Then we'll talk about this again. :)

Sorry Laura, I don't understand: your review is still on the homepage and will probably stay there for another 2-3 days. Right now, the editor's choice doesn't guarantee more visibility compared to the non-chosen reviews. So even if there are favoritism (and I'm not saying there are), who cares? Your reviews are always very popular, and rightly so since they are enjoyable to read. What's the problem?

@grasshopper: Nooooo, even Enya. :-) Can I recommend another album? You surely know Pentangle, or at least I think you do, but perhaps the John Renbourn Group has slipped your mind. I'll give you a title: "The Enchanted Garden". Absolutely beautiful. Between Loreena McKennitt and Jacqui McShee, who followed John after the breakup of Pentangle, there’s simply no contest. :-) And even from an arrangement standpoint, this album is muuuuuch more varied compared to "The Mask and the Mirror". It creates that union between Celtic/British tradition and other parts of the world, including the United States (John is an extraordinary bluesman), that appeals to both me and you. Don’t worry about the link: those who want to reach my page will find it. In fact, someone, passing through yours, has already made it. Bye.

"Laura Morante, who to be honest was not that much of a beauty" ---> Are you crazy?;-) Laura Morante not only WAS, SHE IS all this beauty.:-) Besides that, great review...

I didn't mind it... Aside from those landscapes with the musical background (I remember "Sailing" by R. Stewart) that appeared now and then and interrupted the narration as if the film were divided into chapters... It only needed a caption with the name of the place, and they would have been perfect for the "Intervallo" of RAI...

Well, surely the vascorossiana scene didn't do Pat any harm... She was smiling... Besides, Pat always smiles...

You say? I actually think Ms. Bollani is quite good... I saw her live; she has a beautiful voice and a good stage presence... She's also quite a babe... I don't understand why these two don't have Stefano write them some songs... When I saw them, they didn't sing anything by Monteverdi... They could have done a nice tribute since they were performing in a square in Mantova... The rating isn't for the album, it's for the concert...

Maybe it's "Last train home," Dante... If that's the one you're referring to, you can find it on "Still Life Talking"... I remember when I saw Pat live, while he was performing it, the audience took out their lighters and sang along... Pretty much like at a Vasco concert...
