In my opinion, the proposal of "You're livin all over me" is not that simple... many argue that it is, simply, noise + melody (like with the Huskers)... well, I find this type of definition reductive... to me, the music of the Dinosaur (just like that of the HD) is much more sophisticated...

This sentence is beautiful: "the lazy splashes of the guitar evoke the seascapes so dear to Buckley, but the longing to get lost in those waves, to completely nullify oneself, the absolute lack of physical and mental energy, the letting oneself drift almost makes it a letter from a suicidal person who no longer even has the strength to commit suicide." How did I not notice this review before!!! :-)

a mind-blowing title track; for the rest, we are on the (high, but not highest) levels of Blue Afternoon...personally, I don't consider it a masterpiece...beautiful review, even if it's not true that the rhythm is practically absent (in a couple of tracks, the percussion plays a fundamental role)...

In my view, indie-rock includes the Wipers, certain Meat Puppets, late Husker Du, late Mats, the Urinals, Beat Happening, the Boston scene (Lemonheads, Pixies, Mission of Burma, Dinosaur Jr), Superchunk, Unrest, late SY... in short, a singer-songwriter vein blended with some pretty solid sounds... I had already talked about this in another review a year ago, but unfortunately I can't remember which one it was, what a shame... @fest: I think Doolittle is more eccentric than Surfer Rosa...

If I'm not mistaken, the B52s have been around since the 70s, but I don't know much about them...
