Alessio... read the sequence of posts carefully... the first to provoke was you (post #21)... anyway, sorry if I offended you... I was acting in good faith... returning to the Crass, go here: "http://www.debaser.it/recensionidb/ID_13895/Crass_Penis_Envy.htm"... watch out for the spaces...

what a drag... it was to start a discussion... you expressed a criticism about something you read in my review and I gave you an explanation (satisfactory or not)... I didn't call you ignorant... you're a bit touchy sometimes, come on... I’ll give you a solid one too...

In my opinion, you don't have a clear understanding of the meaning of the word rhetoric... take a look in the dictionary... any idea (even the noblest) can be expressed rhetorically... I'm not arguing the ideas of the Crass, but the way they expressed them... every time someone speaks ill of certain groups (including the Crass), the discontent of the fanatics arises... this isn't the first time it happens... it already occurred in another review (about the Crass) with another user... evidently, certain groups are untouchable regardless...
Paul Westerberg Stereo

Oh yes, man... legendary Bob Stinson, may he rest in peace... :-( Westerberg as a solo artist doesn't quite do it, though it's worth mentioning that on the beautiful Pleased To Meet Me by the Mats, Stinson was already no longer playing...

beautiful review, congratulations...this album is too gummy for my tastes, but in its genre, it's a cornerstone...the tracks I like the most are the last two, instrumentals...just a curiosity: "that which some have considered the best 'ballad' of the 80s and perhaps beyond, namely Nightporter"...who's 'some'?! :-)

Alessio, the fact that the Crass are rhetorical is confirmed by your last post... anyway, I was referring to stylistic rhetoric, more than content-related: I meant to say, essentially, that their music is predictable, while that of the Ex is more creative...
Iron Maiden Powerslave

Alright... 2 minutes remains a classic... it's a shame they stole the riff from Merciful Fate :-)

it's not my thing, but I find them endearing... they have a playful and captivating vibe... they're funny... much better than the sleepy and buttoned-up electronic sounds of various Orbital, Autechre, etc... at times they remind me of Confusional Quartet, an Italian group from the late 70s, outside of any genre...

so many memories this damn album... how was I back then... for a certain period (just a few months to be honest) there were only them and Blind Guardian... what a state... then I discovered 2112 by Rush and I really understood what power was...
