Oh, why has alcohol suddenly become synonymous with decadence??!! Are we joking?! Down with non-alcoholic cocktails!!! ;-P

Really great job, Boredom! Congratulations! ;-) In defiance of decency, listen to what Piero has to say: "Allin is the only musician who could record a video in which he bursts into an elementary school classroom and, after smashing several objects in his mouth, breaking multiple bottles on his head, and mutilating his chest with a can, attacks a little girl and gets beaten to a pulp by those present... Countless anecdotes tell stories far more depraved than those described in his songs (like when he had to be hospitalized urgently because his throat was clogged with semen, or when he violently assaulted and then ate the carcass of an animal)..." Get the plastic bags ready... :-)))

I always listen to albums from start to finish too... A 4 on my rating scale means "warmly recommended album"; I reserve a 5 for absolute masterpieces, which in the metal field could be, you know, Reign in Blood, Painkiller, Ride the Lightning, and just a few others. Yeah, I tend to be quite strict with my ratings :-P

Um... so, let me understand one thing: with that sarcastic "kudos for your presumption," you didn't mean to give me a hard time for writing a comment that's too long and detailed (not even that much, to be honest...)?? Because if that's the case, I would be flabbergasted. :-OOOOOO Now one can't even make a somewhat substantial comment to avoid making the review seem too meager??!! Honestly, I don't get it; maybe you expressed yourself poorly or I'm just slow on the uptake. Anyway, yes, I live in Brianza. Oh, and while I'm at it, I'm lowering your rating by another point. Take that! :-DDDDDD

Congratulations Matteo, a well-deserved rediscovery. The reason why this devastating New York-based multi-ethnic band is still almost unknown today (to metal fans and others) remains a mystery difficult to solve. Karen's voice is one of the most eclectic, schizophrenic, and extreme I've ever had the chance to hear. It did for alt-metal in the '90s what people like Cave and Thomas did, in their time, for new wave (with due proportions).
Built To Spill Perfect From Now On

Great music, there's no denying it; they almost sound like Polvo in a stretched version. The integration between guitars, cello, and keyboards is very harmonious. Melodic, dreamy, light. Their only problem is the same one that unfortunately plagues many (more or less) post-rock albums from the 90s: excessive length, verbosity, the inability to synthesize. They should take a cue from Spaccamascella: he truly received the gift of synthesis! ;-)

Well, what can I say? At this point, all I can do is give you "congratulations" for your sensitivity... If you don't mind, it's understandable to misinterpret an ambiguous phrase ("the city of Michigan," written this way, could easily mean "the city located in the State of Michigan." Right??). I didn't think it was necessary to call me presumptuous. I'm lowering your grade again, so you learn not to take offense over nothing.

Never heard of it. Even better than Parable?! Damn, then we really should introduce the 6 vote on Debaser!!! :-D Festwka: do you have something against "intermezzi casinari" (free-form freak-out)?? ;-)
Nine Inch Nails The Downward Spiral

The only Cronenberg film I'm missing is Crash (apart from the very early short films, including, I believe, Crimes of the Futures). In fact, his early horror feature films, like "Shivers" or "Rabid," were profoundly "Chromian"! :-)

Really beautiful Videodrome, my favorite Cronenberg along with M. Butterfly and Spider. However, I wasn't entirely convinced by the acclaimed Inseparables, while I really didn't like Naked Lunch. The comparison to Kubrick seems a bit forced to me. Getting back to the point, who do you think is the "Cronenberg of rock"? Could it be Reznor? Maybe, but I would lean more towards Chrome, because their "garage-industrial" gives me the idea of sonic manipulation, and the concept of manipulation (genetic, psychological, but also "aesthetic") is at the core of Cronenberg's cinema. What do you think?
