Great the Fall!!! For me, one of the best new-wave bands ever! One of the most sincere and representative of that musical aesthetic where every element, from the shaky rhythm section to the dissonant guitar, from the slovenly vocal delivery to the lo-fi electronics, contributes to creating that feeling of neurosis, alienation, apathy, frustration, discomfort that has been somewhat the dominant mood of the new-wave.

I agree... The mid-80s was somewhat the "adult" phase of hardcore (even though I still consider the debut of the Germs to be a work of great maturity and expressive richness, able to establish the standard hardcore form, while at the same time pointing out different paths for its transcendence).
