Oh, we have a new entry in the ranking of lousy review smudgers on Debaser: Maestro Myaghi... You never cease to be amazed... But I wonder: is it really necessary to tarnish such a potentially interesting page like this? Huh? Is it such an urgent need? Huh? By the way, Take Me to the River is a cover... I think by Al Green, the same one who did Let's Stay Together... Or not???

It was my first encounter with the new wave: hard to forget. Sparse arrangements, dense percussion, neurosis... in short: the Talking Heads. :-)

Debaser pillar??? Me??? That's an exaggeration! I've only been here for 3 months... :-D So what about Kosmo, Trell, Enea, Zion, Qze, Odra, Sfascia, Josi, Jim, and the whole gang? Are they emperors (or empresses)??? Hmm, maybe... ;-) Anyway, thanks to Sanjuro, Festwka, and the ever-present Wanderer, always generous with the votes... Sanjuro, don't you like Bad Religion?

Already??? I wrote it yesterday afternoon and it’s already online! A round of applause for the speed of the editors! :-) @Sanjuro: respectively Squirrel Bait, Dinosaur Jr, Pixies, Sonic Youth, Bad Religion, Bitch Magnet. @Trellina: you don’t know Rapeman??? Ahiahiahiahiahi...(I commented on DAAU) ;-) P.S. Thanks everyone for the votes, you’re too kind!

Nice review... I remember the first time I listened to this album: I was your age, Alexi89 (I suppose 17 years old)... I was thrilled by this mix of technique, power, and melody... I listened to it again the next day, and it left me cold as an iceberg... I realized that kind of metal (the Scandinavian school, straddling death and power) wasn't really my cup of tea... Too much technique, not enough substance... A bit like Spain in the World Cup: it excites you at first, and then disappoints you in the long run :-)
