Calexico The Black Light

Oh, what an awesome record! It has nothing to do with rock, just to be clear (even less with post-rock)... One could talk about "total folk" or more simply "world music"... Really evocative. And it doesn't get boring, despite its length approaching an hour... It flows smoothly like oil. I might even prefer them to Dirty Three because they are more eclectic.
Angra Angels Cry

Well, the Venom are brutal and cacophonous at times... It's hard to find a fan of both Angra and Venom at the same time: they represent two diametrically opposed approaches to metal. Of course, it's obvious that one can also be versatile in their tastes...

But it's a bit long...160 minutes, I think...anyway, Clint is always Clint... :-)
Charlie Chaplin City Lights

And with that, it's a masterpiece! :-D
Buffalo Springfield Buffalo Springfield Again

Stunning album! It has to do with folk-rock to a certain extent! Much harder, darker, and above all eclectic than its contemporary Younger than Yesterday by the rival Byrds. There’s room for anything, from R&B to country-folk, from pop to jazz. Finale somewhere between elegy and collage, with Broken Arrow... What music!
Amon Düül II Phallus Dei

Sure, sure... I'll tell you more: without the lesson of the Grateful Dead, I find it hard to imagine Amon Duul... It’s proof that in music similar means are often used to achieve completely divergent results.

M.Verdoux is Chaplin's least romantic film, a true punch in the stomach.
Amon Düül II Phallus Dei
Voto:
They were the first to introduce an explicitly luciferian concept into rock, whereas the various Stones, VU, Stooges, and Doors had done so implicitly... Phallus Dei is the Teutonic response to the smiles of California's acid rock... And what a response! :-)
Angra Angels Cry
Voto:
well...maybe because Carry On is very catchy and immediate... ;-) Try playing him some Venom, then tell me what face he made... :-D
