Big Black Songs About Fucking

The only problem with this album is the fact that it comes right after a certain Atomizer... But anyway, what a great record! Trucking, Model, Bad Penny, Ergot, Fish Fry, Tiny King: songs as devastating as they are seminal. Albini's guitar at the peak of its harshness.

For me, between this and Loveless it's a tie in terms of quality... the difference between the two albums is that Loveless has more electronics... anyway, both are incredibly inspired works, with beautiful songs (my absolute favorite remains To Here Knows When, from Loveless). I especially appreciate the first half of Isn't Anything... Am I the only one seeing connections between the MBV shoegaze and American indie rock?

I would have sworn that the first comment about the Swiss was from Kosmo! :-D I heard the Coroners in my metalhead friend's car, and the impression was good...

Ahahaha I remember this one... my childhood friend's uncle used to listen to it all the time... but wasn't he dead???
Jesus Lizard Head/Pure

Head is already a masterpiece, with that Pastoral that warms and cuddles me... Plus, it's a really quirky EP... Very well-crafted review. Well done!

well... I hope they pull fewer tricks than the DLJ... :-)

I miss this... I've promised myself for a while now to listen to it... I'll do it in presumably short time... I hope it's not just a mere revival (like the Fleshtones, who disappointed me a bit with their garage-rock), but something that captures the mood of the new wave...

I thank everyone who participated. @ Sombrare': you should find them on the Mulo (a unique track that contains all the pieces) @ Ashola: are you teasing? ;-)))
