Anyway, for me Bleach and Superfuzz are the two manifestos of grunge. Want a definition of grunge? Just listen to these two albums.

I would say that, all in all, this album is not too different from the previous ones by Blink. Is that okay?

There is no continuity between one track and the next. It reminds me a lot of cosmic music, with less poetry and more science. Perhaps the process is different, but the emotions are the same.

It lasts more than an hour, but it flows gently, without you even realizing it. It hypnotizes you. Like a daydream.

"The only difference is that the Vampire Rodents live in anonymity, inheriting the darkness of the Residents while Foetus is a showman." <<< Quoting. And all of this ties back to a complex discourse on perspective… Foetus is a subjectivist; his voice is the focal point of his music, and the arrangements serve as a backdrop… In the case of the VR, however, the backdrop becomes the absolute protagonist; theirs is a music that flows horizontally, a music that is not experienced like Foetus's but created, assembled, and contemplated externally, with detachment… It is more or less the distance that separates a medieval painting (two-dimensional) from a Renaissance painting (with perspective). The music of the VR (I am referring specifically to Lullaby Land) is like a fresco, in which all elements are placed on the same plane, while with Foetus there is more of an idea of depth… With Foetus, the human element returns to the center of attention (just like in the Renaissance), after an era, that of the medieval period, in which anything was placed in a dimension subordinate to that of the Creator God (Vahnke). At this point, there’s just one thing that doesn’t quite add up: the Middle Ages came before the Renaissance, but the VR came after Foetus! :-DDDDDD (Wait! Before Foetus, there were the Residents, also with an objectivist approach, so the accounts do add up.)

Do you think it's impossible to mix rap and jazz? There are hundreds of groups and DJs who blend rap and jazz. Ask Zion for more information.
