Are the Wolfango better than the SY? Well, maybe... they're definitely nicer! :-) (I can't stand Kim Gordon! grrr...)

That kind of fuzz you hear on this record that seems to come from a guitar is actually produced by a distorted bass. Wolfango at CBGB? I can totally see them opening for Sonic Youth! (for me, Wolfango is no-wave!) :-)

Velluto, I'm lowering your review score because I realized you made an unforgivable mistake: in the Wolfango NOBODY played the guitar. There was only a distorted bass (brilliant!), a half (right!) drum kit, and two voices (a guy and his current wife, if I remember correctly). There were three of them: the couple + Bruno Dorella (from Milan, super busy with underground projects, I think he even has a label).
