I’ve only listened to fake trains... they sound good, can’t deny that, but they don’t excite me much (except for lucky acid)... they seem too derivative of the usual suspects (SY, Fugazi, Albini, Slint)... and they make songs that are too long... I prefer the noise of the 80s...

That review of sentireascoltare is really nice (so I'm not the only one seeing the Cows as a "redneck" group!)... anyway, Daddy has a tail might not reach the compositional heights of Cunning Stunts, but it contains experimental solutions comparable to those of the Butthole Surfers (and I think Daddy is THE Selberg album, in the sense that in Daddy the good Shannon gives his best as a performer, with a whole series of hilarious brain-dead verses!)... regarding the Stooges/Cows comparison, I believe it is hard to propose, both due to the difference in era (20 years, an abyss!), and in "mood" (the Stooges are anything but fun).

The Half Japanese are great!!! I've never even heard the SH&W mentioned: what kind of music do they make?? The Cows took a lot from the Surfers, especially the taste for grotesquely distorting simple guitar, rhythmic, or vocal patterns... I think the Cows had creativity to spare (like the Surfers, of course)... but... tell me: how can you say that garage bores you??? And the Stooges??!! Anyway, the Cows seem more hardcore than the BS, or at least more powerful, more intense...
