"Priest, what if I told you that I didn't really like 'marquee moon'? (Well, it was just a listen)." <<< Come on, for goodness' sake! :-)

Indeed, the JDs are certainly not "a group for all seasons" :-)

Ok, I'll try to listen to it. Anyway, I believe it, you know... it seems normal to me that live they "rock harder"... in any case, I think that few other albums like Unknown Pleasures have been able to express that sense of unease and depression typical of a lot of new-wave (especially the dark); and this is also thanks to that heavy bass that prevails over the guitars, subverting one of the sacred dogmas of rock that had preceded them...

It was the year 1998 and good Albini had "already given" as they say... Atomizer, Songs About Fucking, Budd, Two Nuns, Action Park: 5 masterpieces... what more could you ask in 1998 from someone who had already generously made the HISTORY of rock?

"In my opinion, the sound is too bare..." <<< that's exactly the beauty of JD! The last feeling Curtis wanted to express was that of anger.

With Jesus I'm stuck on Psychocandy (which doesn't drive me crazy). Anyway, great review, well done Vivis! ;-)
John Zorn Kristallnacht

"hoping at least to pique their curiosity about this such an intriguing work." <<< hope fulfilled! :-) Really an interesting proposal, Don!
Led Zeppelin Led Zeppelin III

God, how many centuries has it been since I last heard it! Amazing... Immigrant Song, Since I've Been Loving You ("workin from 7/ to 11 every night") and Tangerine are worth the ticket price alone. Hats off to the reviewer.

for me the best 70s disco remains that of Lips Inc. ;-)
Talking Heads Remain In Light

"Tina Weymouth (perhaps the + greatest bassist in history)" <<< for me, the best is Lorna Doom.
