Well, it's clear that the magic of the MBV largely lies in the wall of sound: so the pedalboard is essential! :-) What do you mean by "on a purely harmonic level"? Perhaps you mean "in terms of composition"?

My Bloody Valentine Isn't Anything

"it doesn't yet have the uniqueness of its successor, because it keeps the elements separated, as much as possible, from one another." <<< for me, "Isn't anything" is already a very cohesive album, more or less like "Loveless"... both beautiful anyway...

The previous comment by the user "tessio82" was copied from here: "http://www.ondarock.it/storiadelrock/hardrock.htm". What a memory I have, huh? :-P (Now I'm sending an email to Tommy)

The album is an absolute masterpiece. The review is well done, but allow me a note, Filippo (maybe someone has already mentioned this to you, I don't know... I just know that I have no desire to read all 150 comments preceding mine :-D): hard rock, at its time (early 70s, but even later), was "commercial" just like grunge in the early 90s.

5-star review. (besides, nu-metal makes me want to puke too)
