Well, it's hard to evaluate such radical cinema: you either embrace it or let it go... sometimes you get the impression of encountering something genius and unprecedented, other times you question the sense of all this cruelty... conceptual cinema, a bit like Von Trier, but much less boring and pretentious than Idiots... anyway, Haneke's masterpiece is Storie (a peak of contemporary European cinema).
