"but is it a de-record?" <<< probably... think about it, at one point I found myself with something like 110 email notifications in just a few hours! :-)

well... one thing is Elio, another is Dream Theater... Elio makes ultra-technical music, but completely devoid of exhibitionist intentions, on the contrary... behind every odd time signature and every cerebral aspect, there’s a message (ironic), there’s substance, there’s expression... for me, Elio E Le Storie Tese is one of the greatest bands of the last 20 years.

Imagine Fenni... those are marginal errors... it's the substance that matters... (of course, it depends on the title that's distorted: if someone wrote to me "Smoke On A Water," the vegetable throwing would commence!) :-D

Van Morrison Moondance
Voto:
a truly beautiful review... Moondance contains memorable tracks, but overall it is not even remotely comparable to that masterpiece known as Astral Weeks... it’s as if Van had woken up from a wonderful and unrepeatable dream and found himself in the situation of having to adapt to the decent but mundane reality... anyway, it is strongly recommended to listen to the two versions of the title track (Van’s and the posh Bublè’s) one after the other, to realize the abyss that lies between Art and manner...

Great review, but... wasn't it "A Girl I Knew"? (a beautiful song, by the way)

"Why is everyone commenting on Nirvana when most of the truly interesting proposals go unnoticed?" <<< dear Fest, you should know (but you already do) that no one gives a damn about music (just like cinema)... there isn't (I REPEAT: THERE ISN'T) a single page on debaser where people don't stop talking about music/cinema after about twenty comments (except for the famous review of Dream Theater: Easycure vs Resto Del Mondo :-D)... on the Nirvana review, serious discussions about music stopped after dozens and dozens of comments; on the Gibson review, we hit 250 comments and haven't talked about cinema for an eternity... let it be clear, I don’t want to argue, actually... this is how the world works, I’m fatalistic about these things... religion is the topic of the moment, and if it’s more appealing than art and culture, it’s nobody’s fault... maybe it’s the Pope’s fault :-D hey Fest, and congratulations again on the review!
