I can't stand them.. I don't understand the point of these groups when there were already bio hazards and practically 20 years ago.. too monotonous.

I hate talking about genres, but here it’s needed: in my humble opinion, the term "crossover" has the exception that you attribute to it only in Italy. For me, crossover, understood as a genre, simply doesn’t exist. It’s not a genre but a way (attitude) of making music; it literally means passing through or something like that. Even the most original music of the Red Hot was a crossover of elements, especially funk and rock to name a few... and you could come up with a thousand other examples. Black Strobe are also crossover because they intersect different musical currents, as are Bokor, Neurosis, and all the bands that blend various movements, any and the most diverse—again, as far as I’m concerned, they are all crossover. There isn’t a specific way to do crossover; it's wrong to say it’s a genre with guidelines to follow to play it because it doesn’t exist. That said, among the genres that SOAD channel into, nu metal seems the most fitting, but in hindsight, after the release of Toxicity and the countless epigones that album (with its structure of violent parts and melodies) spawned in the second wave of bands that would later be included in the trend called nu metal… if you don’t like it or don’t agree with these lines, so be it.

But damn it, it's been six years, ever since "Toxicity" came out and I keep hearing: what are SOAD? What genre do they play? Where and how do we categorize SOAD? Enough already... just listen to them, come on... do they really need to be labeled somewhere?? I won’t even read the review, it doesn't make sense to have another review in 2007 of an album that's been reviewed countless times, for better or worse.

I've always found this quite boring...
Poison The Well Versions
Voto:
I disagree. The album is nice.. in my opinion, Poison have never made masterpieces.. and this is brave for the melodies they include.. they are craftsmen from an hardcore background, if they add those melodies (well-made and well-blended) I don't shout miracle but it's definitely better than the previous ones.
Minsk The Ritual Fires of Abandonment

finger I totally agree with you.. it's just that there are a thousand worse epigones than Minsk.. in my personal opinion.. there are those who chisel a carbon copy of the origins.. and Minsk are not among them.. in my view.. when we talk about the scene, we talk about bands that copy the origins, and we're on the same page here.. and these sounds are already being mocked..

no, I really can't take it anymore... truly... we're at the limit of ball-busting here... for once, I agree with a review from Ondarock... I just can't get this album into my head...
