After two albums with Century Media, Nightrage found themselves facing yet another lineup change and were forced to seek a new record deal. Landing at Lifeforce Records, they immediately set their instruments ablaze to create a work capable of bringing them high in the firmament of Scandinavian-style melodic death metal.
The Greek/Swedish formation chose, as their first move, to have Jacob Hansen (Destruction, Illdisposed, Raunchy, Hatesphere, Fear My Thoughts, etc.) produce them, also because, not being able to rely on distinctive writing which could set them apart from other adherents of this musical form, they had to ensure that the sound was as competitive as possible. A smart choice aimed at making the twelve explosive and aggressive compositions (although still very clean) both in the direct and tight passages as well as in the melodic ones. Also because the songs rely heavily on this dichotomy and on the pairings arising from the combinations they create.
Recommended for those willing to undergo replicas of In Flames, Children Of Bodom, and Arch Enemy with some occasional metal-core elements reminiscent of Killswitch Engage.
