who trapped us is Hegel, Aristotle was a great man, let’s not say nonsense please, Aristotle was a free man and he dealt with everything, ridiculous certain critiques that I have read.
Michelangelo Antonioni Professione: Reporter
Voto:
Beautiful blackdog, I would have insisted more on the central theme of the film, which is identity, or rather non-identity, and its fictitious simulations, expelling the subject as the last possibility for the individual to reconstruct a new life (Antonioni seems to tell us).. but it's fine as it is, great film and successful reception (it's not easy to talk about this film which for me remains definitely among the top 3 of the director).
Wim Wenders Der Himmel über Berlin (Il Cielo Sopra Berlino)
Voto:
Well, I can understand if it was your first encounter with Wenders, all this excitement, but this film, when compared to those from his early period (like "Alice in the Cities" or later "The State of Things," those were truly epoch-making, minimalist, and poetic masterpieces), really falls short. You can already start to smell the scent of senility from this point on, unfortunately. From there, Wenders will take the path to becoming what he is now: a failed and absurdly ridiculous director (watch the sequel to this film, which I believe is called "Beyond the Clouds," and you'll understand my "ridiculous").
The Dream Syndicate The Days of Wine and Roses
Voto:
huge band, the album is on par with The Medicine Show, but in terms of sound, Live at Rajis is a notch above both, pretazzo testina di cazzo.
Leonard Cohen I'm Your Man

but these electro arrangements were needed, he said so himself in an interview. It's another thing if you don't like them; there's not much that can be done about that. The great tracks are there (as I believe they are in every release up to and including The Future).
Nick Drake Pink Moon

It's a shame you spoke poorly of "Parasite," which is my favorite track on the album and, in my opinion, contains the most pessimistic and sarcastic lyrics of the bunch. Musically, I also find those chord progressions unsettling.
Luis Bunuel Il Fascino Discreto Della Borghesia
Voto:
Look, Bunuel did other things too; I mention this for those who might not know, since people always and only talk about this film, which isn't even his best...
Pulp Different Class
Voto:
Okay, I'll raise the grade. I believe that in this album, there are few things that don't measure up to the most well-known tracks among the public. Shall we talk about "I Spy"? That might be the best track on the record... but I could say the same about at least 9 to 10 tracks on this album. For me, a 4 is too low for a record like this. Nowadays, in 2008, unfortunately, you don't see albums like this in stores.
