They suffer a lot (too much?) from fake-alternative posery and flashy attitudes, but to say that they don’t have (or rather, that they certainly didn’t have in the days of their early albums) noteworthy singing/composing talents seems excessive to me. This is a nice album, with at least 4/5 remarkable tracks both from a literary and musical standpoint.

For me, it’s also a great record, bought a long time ago during my 80s manic-progressive phase. I fell in love with it right away for certain melancholic atmospheres, especially in the instrumentals and for "Long Good-Bye."
