Eels Earth to Dora

I just want to emphasize, connecting to @[IlConte]'s comment about the beautiful cover, how crazy and heartbreaking the story of the Everett family is. If you've had a chance to see the film/documentary that I linked, you'll hear directly from Mr. E about the story of his father's ashes. Basically, Hugh Everett had instructed his wife to throw them in the trash since he believed that a copy of him would continue to live in another universe. His wife, violating her husband's wishes, kept them in the living room for a while, waiting to give them a proper funeral ceremony. In the end, she complied with her husband's request by personally throwing them in the trash. A terrible story, which E recounts while laughing, which makes it even more terrible... Definitely material for a movie.

Behind a hilarious review lies a "philosophical" reflection of infinite sadness 😩😭. No one should have to face the condemnation of seeing what a horrible thing time has done to youthful loves, to the objects of adolescent crushes, especially those that never blossomed into anything, often due to personal shyness. I’ve come to realize that more or less everyone believes in Santa Claus as children, only to later discover that he doesn’t exist, but this is even worse because it makes you understand that it’s truly too late and that we’ve waited far too long...

If you have time, make a ranking of your ten favorite authors (of any genre, scientific, philosophical, novels) and their books; I think it would make me happy. Thank you.

Very (too?) clear, in style and content. Yet another masterful piece when it comes to the art of writing. That said, regarding your decision, I feel conflicted. I respect you, and I must be honest... In my opinion, unless you've taken your presence on deb too seriously (did you get permission from @[sfascia carrozze]?), like a contract you’ve signed (with whom?) that requires you to write n reviews a month, you can and must find the time to continue writing your own things when inspiration strikes. Even just once a month. Everyone here (or at least a large part of us) has commitments, but the passion for writing and music always deserves a bit of our time. If your decision is in perfect Suonatore Jones style from De Andrè/Masters, what can I say, know that you have my respect; I've thought about doing it many times without succeeding...

Moooooooolto understood. But at least explain that muons are mythical particles that have an extremely short lifespan, but that by moving at speeds close to that of light, they appear to us to travel long distances. They can enter the Earth's atmosphere only because, thanks to their brief lifespan, time passes much, much more slowly for them, so they are still out there playing with the little Martians...
