Wow, what a messy yet super cool reception... so, from what I gather, the new Volta album has come out (or is about to come out and Caz intercepted it early) and it's really cool and complex... nice, nice... I've only listened to Frances (the others told me they are of a completely different kind) and aside from the annoyance caused by the noise between songs (which I initially naively attributed to a bad download), I must say it was definitely worth it. I'm a bit less on board with the whole four chords discussion... some people are born to make four chords and revolutionize music, while others need 64!

Ligabue... God, how I hate him!! But are you sure about the existence of this dichotomy between "The great Liga of the early albums" and "the sold-out Liga of the later albums"? In my opinion, he has always been and will always be a crude provincial who writes tracks to sell to the clueless, all with alternating luck and inspiration. By all means, he has a certain knack for writing pop songs, but beyond that, I really see nothing...

Def Leppard...never consciously heard them in my life (although I must have definitely heard some of their songs). When I was younger, they had already fallen into the oblivion you describe in the review, so I skipped over them; I don't know if I'll ever dig them up, unless I get this High and Dry (hey, what a rhyme!).

You are too harsh on one of my friend and former classmate Mattia Stancioiu's groups! I've never heard the whole album, just some advanced tapes back in the day, but they didn't seem as useless as you describe... anyway, the singer rocks! I mean, tearing down a band with a 1 just because they do power metal, regardless of its actual quality (which you do acknowledge), is a practice that – although it's quite fashionable – I absolutely do not agree with.

Technically, Giorgia is one of the most talented singers in the Italian pop scene, but personally, this fact will never be enough to make me buy one of her albums because the songs she sings make me cringe. That said... Oh my God, what spelling, kiki! In no particular order: it's called "Pietra Miliare," not "migliare." With which she made us dream, not "con qui!!" Rather than preconceived notions?! No, come on, that's not right! I would also invite you to use punctuation better and to avoid repetitions and overly long sentences. Then, if one day you want to listen to and review music that's less from the hitlist Italy, we will all be happy for you.
