Some records remain.
This beautiful work by Giorgia stays in the heart, the ultimate voice, the most gifted singer in Italy of all time for musical abilities. The album celebrates Giorgia's stunning performance at the Sarremo festival in 2001, when, in front of an enthusiastic audience, the Roman singer won with "Di sole e d'azzurro", a song written for her, believe it or not, by a guru of international music like Zucchero, an underestimated phenomenon in Italy who is still capable of delivering satisfaction with those not considered international singers, but on par, much more than those many consider international, for us just local products, I am sure, better than the internationals: those who may not agree, are free to do so. Zucchero signs another masterpiece with "Un sole dentro al cuore" that adds to what I consider the greatest tracks of the album, namely "Il tempo" and "Senza ali", which the radios played to the extreme, showing everyone who the Roman singer is. A beautiful acoustic version of "Girasole" reminds us that Giorgia was in the hits until less than a year ago, Girasole is the album that made us dream with its fresh song rhythm... lira.
In conclusion, the album is among the best of the Roman's career, perhaps even better than the milestone "Strano il mio destino". Listen to it without prejudices; it's better to listen to an album with fresh ears than with preconceived ones.
