Lucio Battisti Cosa succederà alla ragazza

The Western Bride, in terms of melodies and lyrics, is one of Battisti's best albums, definitely my favorite from the Panella era... It's a shame it has sounds that seem to have come straight from the soundtrack of a Commodore 64 game... In my opinion, these records haven't aged very well... At 14, I adored them; today, after experiencing the serious electronic music of the time, I’m starting to believe they’re too outdated... It’s no coincidence that the experiments of Anima Latina sound more contemporary than these (at least for me).

In what way could I cause a stir, Jim? :-)
Anyway, I’m glad that the albums I review are to your liking.

Hearing Battisti again today gives me a strange feeling... He was my favorite singer from about 13 to 15 years old, but now, listening to those same songs that made me dream years ago, I don't feel the same emotions as before... Maybe I just listened to them too much, who knows?!? He remains, nonetheless, a great...

@ Antmo: I’ll start laying the groundwork for the review on JJ then ;)
@Zio Burba: I’ve read several essays on Davis, and I can assure you that the musicians you mention play very little and only on the first piece... For the rest, it’s Carlos Garnett, David Creamer, Harold Williams, Michael Henderson, Colin Walcott, and other not-so-illustrious session men... Check out the essay by Luca Cerchiari ;)

Yes, I've got Tribute to Jack Johnson, and actually, I was initially unsure whether to write a review on that; in the end, I opted for ON THE CORNER, although perhaps, as you rightly pointed out, J.J. is even more successful.

Oops... I had written the genre under the review so that they would write it next to it, since I couldn't find Jazz-funk among the available options. Oh well, patience :)

Anyway, I had planned a review on the Ventures or the Shadows, still about surf-rock ;)
