Musciman, let me say this as a friend: you understand nothing about the guitar if your references are those 4 wannabes you just mentioned. The true guitars are those of Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Funkadelic, Mark Knopfler, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin. ORIGINAL AND INNOVATIVE ARTISTS; NEVER REPETITIVE: ARTISTS WHO REVOLUTIONIZED MUSIC...WHO HAD IDEAS, not like those you've cited, who made 40 identical, kitschy records, where the sole purpose is technicality. They don’t even know what a guitar is; Joe Satriani and Steve Vai (ridiculously boring) made one song repeated over 50 albums, with the same lame chords... These artists are to the electric guitar what Britney Spears is to pop or what Green Day is to punk.
