THE REVIEW

Eric Johnson: a parallel world of a versatile guitarist with exquisite taste, an incredible harmonizer among the major exponents of modern guitaring, he emerges among the "big names" thanks to the great performance at the first G3 with Vai and Satriani and the LP "Venus Isle", a complex and intricate album that embraces various genres from jazz fusion to funk, from Pink Floydian psychedelia to new age, which in 1996 managed to sell a million copies in the USA alone.

The record is Relaxing and full of Pathos and flows smoothly from the first track to the last... A work that will not disappoint anyone. Among the guests collaborating are Roscoe Beck on bass and Jimmy Vaughan, brother of the great Stevie Ray Vaughan, who participates as second guitar on the track "SRV", in memory of Stevie.
