Roberto Benigni La Vita E' Bella

No one would be able to explain and disguise the horrors of concentration camps to a child. And the poetry with which it's done, then... Anyway, do you know why this film was so well-received by Americans? Have you wondered why they gave it the Oscar? Because in the end, it’s the Americans who save the protagonists and make a great impression!

And it's ridiculous that the film ends up being sentimental and sappy; it has nothing to do with the character.

I completely agree: Mr. Bean has lost his typically British spirit... Ah, what marketing does... It really has nothing to do with the old English sketches: this film is vulgar, trivial, boring, full of clichés, and permeated by weak and silly humor. It's a shame for Rowan Atkinson who is still brilliant.
Chris Columbus Harry Potter e la camera dei segreti
Voto:
The worst film of the saga. A lengthy and sentimental American film, trivial and packed with clichés. The basilisk looks like a gozzilla. The best Harry Potter films are the first and especially the third, by Cuarón, which is the most original and interesting (photography and set design included).
Stanley Kubrick Shining

One of my all-time favorite films. The book by S. King it is based on is inferior.
Martin Scorsese The Departed
Voto:
Aside from the horrendous remake of comfortably numb, the soundtrack is excellent. In particular, there’s an exceptional piece lasting a full 7 minutes: classical guitar and electric guitar. A beautiful piece, I think it's called "Billy's Theme." Find it, it’s truly beautiful.
Martin Scorsese The Departed

A small masterpiece. Great Jack Nicholson and very good DiCaprio and Matt Damon, as much as I find them annoying. Scorsese is in another world...4.5
This Mortal Coil It'll End In Tears
Voto:
Kangaroo, Holocaust, and Song to the Siren are the best tracks on the album; the rest is nice but nothing more... outdated and overplayed stuff, and if the 3 best songs are covers, I wouldn’t feel at peace with myself giving it more than a 3.
The Czars Goodbye

evidently I had listened to her too few times... :-)

You intrigued me, I'll look for it.
