However, I wouldn't want to be misunderstood: I don't judge singers by their appearance, but by their talent.

I more or less agree with Easycure. However, if I want to let you smoke the peace pipe, I’d say a song from Bon Jovi's first album, I think "Runaway," is quite nice. Bon Jovi's solo album, "Midnight In Chelsea" or something like that, wasn't bad. But for the rest... honestly, I can't stand them. They're an unnecessary band, let's face it. Miracled from the '80s just because they were less "bad" than Mötley Crüe, another shitty band.

Well, in Switzerland things will be different (but of course, it is still another country), but at 12 years old, I had all the CDs, VHS tapes, biographies, books, posters, calendars, keychains, pins, even a giant flag, wallet, cap, many of the solo works of the four members, and so on.. and like me, 70% of my peers. I met my first girlfriend during a sit-in at school while she was playing "Father To Son" on the guitar. 99% of Dream Theater fans and/or similar bands started with Queen (I, fortunately, discovered much other music), and a drummer friend keeps a "holy card" of Roger Taylor in his wallet. I don’t know, maybe I lived in a special time; anyway, I assure you that for many people I know, the first album they bought was the compilation "One" in 2000. Definitely not "Abbey Road": a crime, if you will, but it is what it is. It's just that Queen have not yet been rehabilitated, no bands clearly inspired by them have come out (aside from The Darkness, which coincidentally sold 2 million copies in the UK), while the '90s were in some ways a revival of Swinging London (Britpop era, to be clear).

Yes, in fact the discussion is dead. I don't want to express myself on this topic anymore.

But indeed I already said that prog was very popular in Italy, more than in England. But when Barrett's Pink Floyd were thriving in England and appeared in "Blow Up," in Italy no one knew who they were.

In the latest album "Stockholm Syndrome," it's worth listening to. But for the rest, thumbs down.

And then enough with these prodigy kids: screw that! I prefer Avril, who isn't ashamed to be young and shows her artistic flaws to the whole world: at least they're offset by her character and personality. Trust me, in a few years she'll release an album that's going to be huge.

And anyway, I don't see why people get so worked up about it. Between Elisa and Avril Lavigne, I prefer the latter, a hundred thousand times over. Not out of forced foreign admiration, but because Elisa's music is like watered-down pop, all plastic and mediocre electronics, with not a shred of aggression, even though she presents herself as "the only Italian worthy of making a good impression abroad" (even if the English newspapers, rightly, mock her albums). When I listen to Lavigne's album, I rarely want to skip a track or get bored. Some of the compositions are solid and well-crafted, and I like her voice. Hey, let’s not forget that she’s just turned 18.

Anyway, yes, we were talking about Linkin Park... what else is there to say? They're a worthless band, they need to die. Avril Lavigne is infinitely better than this fucking boy band.
