THE REVIEW

Hated, loved, some wish they were dead, and some love them to madness.

These are Linkin Park, a band born in 1997 under the name Xero, then changing to Hybrid Theory and finally Linkin Park. After the massive success of their second self-titled album, after the extraordinary EP from 5 years ago and before the release of "Meteora," their 4th album, came "Reanimation," a true masterpiece in the remix-alternative metal genre.
"Reanimation" not only boasts top-notch self-production by mc Mike Shinoda, but also includes dozens of collaborations with the best metal artists and more (Jonathan Davis, Stephan Carpenter, Aaron Lewis to name just a few). All this results in a long, engaging work, perhaps not for everyone, but one that manages to stand out in the melting pot of alternative music as (in my opinion) the best remix album ever released, unlike that travesty of "New Old Songs" by Limp Bizkit.

If you're still not convinced, turn up the volume to the max while listening to the remixes of "Pushing Me Away" or the sublime, incredible, long "One Step Closer," a true masterpiece by the Californian band that, despite the criticism from many, releases its best work ever.
Try it to believe it.

A remix CD always starts a bit at a disadvantage because it lacks originality.

The game starts to get interesting, the soundtrack follows the flashes of neon lights, explosions, and laser beams.

Linkin Park are six young men as determined as they are intelligent.

An extremely rational work in its irrationality, precise as a Swiss watch despite the band’s sound being inevitably destined to disorient the listener.
