try "Reel to Real" (1979), which is not pop. Less than that of the very good Dire Straits, anyway.

Which one, that part I where it suddenly kicks in around halfway and you have no idea where the hell it came from? That lasts 9.3 minutes, of which at least 3 are useless or almost? THAT ONE????

Anyway, the album is universally acknowledged (even by Ondarock!!!! how strange) as one of those that greatly influenced the 90s, in terms of rhythms and also in the house music scene.

Moreover, the album contains pieces of absolute depth, not just the two super famous singles that even my grandma knows by now. But does "world in my eyes" not say a damn thing just because it's less famous? And can’t you just stop boasting "man, I have these songs... everyone dances to them... but I interpret them... such coolness"? "halo," Christ, "HAALLOOOOOOO," where is it? Come on, follow the policy of truth, admit it: you did a poor job.

It took me a whole day to recover. To give you an idea: Marilyn Manson in 1990 must have been selling sandwiches at the crossroads of the street. Trent Reznor hadn't even written "The Downward Spiral", let alone discovered and launched that idiot. Far from being a Personal Jesus. Then, it seems to me that the song doesn’t talk about being commanded. What is it, "Master and Servant"? Let me put it this way, it’s really not that great, not at all. OOOHHH. I had to say it, I’m better off now. Now I'm clean.

if you pass it to me rock, "music for the masses" by depeche mode.

I own this album, and I think too many tracks are unnecessarily long. Too many "instrumental frivolities." The Tool, for example, intrigue me more; maybe it's the darker voice. The day before yesterday, I found "lateralus" for 5, I say 5, euros. "Awake" reaches a passing grade because it’s still played very well, and a few tracks here and there are enjoyable to listen to multiple times.

Having only the singles from this album, I will only judge those. "Walking on the Moon" has always struck me for its sound... a record to rediscover, although I prefer them in the more classically dark new wave version, that of "Ghost in the Machine." For what little I understand about production, I appreciate its careful essentiality.
