I’ve learned that when fans are going wild, it means that at least the work is interesting, maybe not successful, I don’t know, but surely different. Fanboys make a ruckus about what they don’t understand – which is a lot – so they indicate to me that there’s potentially an interesting variation.

no summary needed, it's all good like this :) I'm a bit sorry they didn't do more work in the black day style, my tastes over the years have come much closer to this at least as much as they've moved away from well-crafted pop. I caught Stapleton right here in Ivrea one night in November 2009. He did his um concert in the former synagogue. It was evocative and interesting for me, even though I wasn't alone and couldn't stay for more than half an hour. So I really don't have a say in the matter... but I'll look into it further.
