The album, overall, is overrated. If it weren't for "Smells Like Teen Spirit" (and the related MTV video), I doubt it would still be talked about. Nonetheless, it's an excellent job.

plagiarized disc from the English rock-punk past (see also Sex Pistols style logo) from the '60s and '70s... Just to recreate the brit-rock (or pop if you prefer) trend for a while as Oasis and Blur did before them... Originality 0, poor talent, excellent ability to promote themselves as the phenomenon of the moment.

So everyone always complained because Maiden never changed, as soon as they gave a twist to their sound with this excellent album, they were hit with shit... damn, it doesn't sound similar in voice and rhythms to the other albums, they will be unrecognizable from those of The Number because they are totally different, but let's take the album without any prejudice about the before and after... if we do that, a solid 5 is a must.
