THE REVIEW

First of all, let's say that Litfiba represent the quintessential Italian rock band. They have a 20-year career behind them, and their sound has evolved from dark to hard rock, eventually reaching a more melodic rock in recent years. But we remember Litfiba for their pure and wild rock that's unleashed on the audience during their concerts, which were real shows. "Colpo di coda" is proof of this, a double live album of pure hard rock, uncensored and limitless, with a fired-up Piero Pelù and a very aggressive Ghigo with his notes. The album opens with the studio unreleased track "A denti stretti", which is a pure rock song with a perfect riff that winds through Piero's high notes. Then there are all the Litfiba hit songs from the early '90s ("Cangaceiro", "El Diablo", "Proibito", "Corri", "Fata Morgana", "Dimmi il nome", "Tex", etc.) rearranged in hard rock style. In my opinion, the result is excellent, the listening experience brings out energy, power, and great emotions.

This album is a masterpiece, I won't add anything more, I just recommend you to listen to it or better yet, buy it.

This album once again proves that the Litfiba of the past were truly a great band full of facets, capable of blending hard rock with Latin American influences, rage with irony.

The real strength of this band was the live impact, often more powerful and decidedly better than the studio works, capable of engaging the audience with an enviable sound and Piero Pelù still a stage animal.
