Martin Scorsese The Departed
Voto:
A rather disappointing film, coming from the director of Taxi Driver one would expect something else. I think this film was made to cash in, and indeed in a business sense, I believe it worked. The fundamental problem with contemporary cinema is right there; to make a film you need the money and those who invest it want it back with interest. To make money in turn, the film has to be half-decent, otherwise the herd of sheep won’t like it. Even the official criticism is bought (just read the film review on Rotten Tomatoes). It’s a sad thing the transition from director to entrepreneur.

Micia micia, what should I give today, the lightsaber or should I give the whole loaf? ;D
Jesus Franco Vampyros Lesbos (1971)
Voto:
Jesus Franco was indeed a great. I remember him for his version of the story of Justine by the Marquis de Sade, featuring a very young Romina Power, truly sublime.
Bob Dylan Jewels and Binoculars

Dear old Dylan, but how many bootlegs are out there!? The only one I have is "The Dylan Cash sessions," which is actually worth it.
Metheny/Mehldau Quartet

You've piqued my curiosity. But if I had to choose between the first and the second? Is it possible to get a few samples?
The Band Music from Big Pink
Voto:
This was nice too: "Asked what Ronnie Hawkins offered him as a back-up guitarist, Robertson replies, 'He said, "You won't make much money but you'll get more pussy than Frank Sinatra."' haloa
The Band Music from Big Pink
Voto:
In fact, a huge album, this one and the second by the Band, as you rightly say (as well as the equally stunning Basement Tapes...). A little anecdote: I read somewhere, I think in Uncut, that during those years Eric Clapton was extremely envious of The Band's sound, considering it light years ahead of what he had achieved with Cream.
Naked City Radio
Voto:
@Sfascia: Glad you share. Best wishes naked-civita-vistici. @Bisius: in my opinion, the three most enjoyable albums by Naked City are "Naked City," "Grand Guignol," and "Radio." The other three are much more difficult to listen to.
Jim Jarmusch Dead Man
Voto:
Great movie and indeed a worthy soundtrack, Neil Young in top form!
Tim Burton Big Fish - Le Storie Di Una Vita Incredibile
Voto:
In my opinion, one of the worst films by Tim Burton; if you give 5 stars to this, you have to give 10 to "Nightmare before xmas."
