Ah, that's why you know this album. By the way, I found out that his works are "homemade" with the computer and thus are self-produced. So it's practically impossible to find them on the market. I don't know him personally, but he played the drums in my guitarist's former band. And here in Palestrina, he is very well regarded among musicians; he's an artist with a capital A. Nice review, but at times a bit childish. The live performance is undeniably very beautiful, especially from a musical standpoint. What I have never quite accepted about De Gregori, aside from his somewhat snobbish demeanor, is his overly different interpretation of the songs compared to the original. There’s a limit to everything.

Horrible reviews, Mango didn’t just write romantic songs. You need to elaborate a bit on what is being said. Let’s think of “Sirtaki” or “Mediterraneo” or even “Australia.” In short, Mango was a great singer-songwriter, but it seems he's also declined a bit (I have to admit I haven’t listened to this album). Still, live, he is able to sing and evoke the South in a unique way.
