Francesco Rosi La sfida
Voto:
Rosi is a director I am trying to explore further. So far, I have only seen "Le mani sulla città" (an exemplary film in its denunciation) and "Cadaveri eccellenti" (which I frankly found slow and cumbersome, like the novel by Sciascia from which it is adapted).
Luigi Zampa Anni difficili
Voto:
Zampa is a director I’m currently studying; he has a respectable filmography, yet he’s not celebrated as much as others. I haven't seen this one yet, but I recently appreciated "Anni ruggenti," where the satire of the most shameless aspects (not to mention the lack of ethics) of the Ventennio is irresistibly caustic.
Syd Barrett If it's in you
Voto:
A curious review, read with pleasure. However, the song seems to me to be Syd's weakest by far, and I doubt that with a bit more effort it could have been improved (like, for example, "Feel"). But that chorus "yammi, yam, yum, yum," once it gets stuck in your head, it doesn't leave anymore.

Great historical illustration, as always. Unfortunately, I don't know the album very well.
Fiorenzo Carpi Le avventure di Pinocchio

A review that captures the sounds and colors of the show, in my opinion the best adaptation of Collodi's book into images, which seamlessly blends realism and poetry.
Neu! Neu! '72 Live! In Düsseldorf
Voto:
A job that intrigues me quite a bit, especially since this "live" does not propose anything from the studio works (except at an embryonic level); in those years, musical extravagances were the order of the day. Yet, I believe that 20 minutes of feedback on loop left many speechless nonetheless.
Banco del Mutuo Soccorso Banco
Voto:
I know the album only by hearsay, as "the record recorded by Banco for Manticore," and therefore I cannot evaluate it. However, the source material is of the highest quality, and Di Giacomo & Co. gave their best during those years.

Alice & Franco Battiato Live In Perugia Palaevangelisti 14/03/16
Voto:
One of the happiest collaborations of the '80s, between two artists who have continued to challenge themselves and renew, and for this reason, they will never grow old. Even though I won't have the pleasure of seeing them live, the vote is based on trust, with some regret for not being able to hear "La Realtà Non Esiste."
