David Fincher The Social Network
Voto:
I haven't seen the film, but I believe it can stimulate useful reflections on the tool of Social Networking, which in my opinion has great potential for bringing individuals together, but also for spreading garbage. I use FB mainly to share common interests (and this is the fundamental criterion I use to select who asks me for friendship, along with personal knowledge combined with respect) and not to collect "friends" who only post nonsense. It also happens to reconnect with schoolmates or former colleagues that we have ignored and who have ignored us for years; once friendship is requested and granted, we ignore each other as before. @ Frankie89: interesting the existence of the "hide" button.
Enrico Ruggeri Tutto Scorre
Voto:
I raise the rating because, all in all, it seems like a decent review to me, even though the track by track can get tiring in the long run. Good album, questionable look.
Judy Collins The Very Best of...

Thank you, I didn't know her...
Charles Monroe Schulz Arriva Charlie Brown!
Voto:
I never get tired of reading it and finding something of myself in Charlie Brown and his friends. Hey, give me back my blanket!
Alison Moyet Alf
Voto:
Good job, but not too much.
Giorgio Gaber Io se fossi Dio
Voto:
Ruthless epitaph of the '70s. Here Gaber completes his critique of the movements that were the protagonists of that decade, which went from being interpreters of a desire for change to either empty conformism (already stigmatized in "Polli di allevamento") or senseless and gratuitous violence. He proves prophetic in showing the degeneration of politics and journalism, sparing even the dead, going against the tide of those who believe that death erases all responsibility. Gaber does nothing to please at all costs; he presents uncomfortable truths, and this is his strength.
Apelle Palla di pelle di pollo

Perhaps Apelles was an amateur fisherman...
The Residents Duck Stab / Buster & Glen
Voto:
Unmatched and always surprising.
Pablo Picasso Guernica
Voto:
It expresses with tragic effectiveness the destruction of man. I wasn't aware of the anecdote about Picasso's response to the German officer; surely there could not have been a more mocking reply.
The Doors Live In New York
Voto:
It stinks of a commercial operation from a mile away. There are already great live recordings of the Doors, therefore certain releases only make sense if they retrieve some particular version or songs that have never been released live. I care about hearing an aborted version of Wild Child or Jim's ramblings as much as I care about Bondi's urine test.
